JJJJound’s diverse range of product offerings includes everything from premium apparel to home goods to bedding, but one can argue that its sneaker collaborations are what draw the most attention, especially as it pertains to its ongoing partnership with New Balance. Having already pushed out “Olive” and “Brown” 990v3s this year and teased another “Brown” 990v3 recently, the brand is also adding a New Balance 991 to its catalog. The collaborative sneakers first sprung up on the Web last month, but now we’ve gotten an on-foot perspective of them. When cooking up this design, it appears that JJJJound and New Balance wanted to hark back to their New Balance 990v3 from 2018 — their inaugural project — as well as one of their 992s that dropped in 2020. There’s heavy similarities to point on this 991 with its overall palette as the blend of brown and tan maneuver their way onto the mesh backdrops and supple suede overlays. Additionally, small hints of black standout across the tongue branding, N logos and heels, the latter of which trade out the usual 991 hits for JJJJound’s moniker.A December release date is floating around the rumor mill, but this has yet to be confirmed. In other news, an ivory New Balance 1600 colorway has been revealed.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
