“Oil Green” Coats the Nike Air Force 1 Low Jewel

In recent months, Nike has reflected on its 41 year history with the Air Force 1 with a “Color of the Month” series. Featuring a retro heel logo, Jewel Swooshes and a complimentary shoe-cleaning toothbrush, these recent pairs have offered tasteful looks packed with history. The concept first came up in 1984 — a time when the silhouette was losing momentum — when shops in Baltimore began asking for custom colorways to sell, effectively reviving the shoe that we all know and love today. For the series’ latest entry, an “Oil Green” suede upper serves as the focal point. This smooth construction teams up with a sharp white found on the Jewel Swooshes and branding elements on the tongue and heel. In addition, a white midsole rests atop a semi-translucent green rubber outsole to complete this throwback look.As of now, release details for this entry in the “Color of the Month” series of Nike Air Force 1 Lows have not been disclosed. Look for this “Oil Green” iteration to land on shelves in the coming months via Nike and select retailers at a price of $150 USD.In other footwear news, Nike has revealed official images of the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe “Field Brown” ahead of its February release date.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
