After springing up on sneakerheads’ radar back in September via early leaked imagery, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “True Blue” has officially been revealed by Nike. Jordan Brand is once again pushing out a retro offering that is inspired by its nostalgic catalog, and in this case, the muse here is the Tinker Hatfield-crafted Air Jordan 3 “True Blue.”The overall presentation here doesn’t mimic every element of the ’88 classic, but it certainly adopts some of its color schemes. Its nominal hue does most of the heavy lifting as it gets added to the Swooshes, laces, interior liners, ball-and-wings logos and overlays that sit next to the throat and around the toe boxes. “Cement Grey” accents are applied to the nubuck ankle flaps and lower heels but are bereft of any elephant patterns. From there, the nylon tongues, perforated toe boxes, collars and quarter panels channel the AJ 3’s angelic uppers. Extra branding arrives in the form of Nike Air embellishments that land on the tongues and insoles.A gallery of detailed shots of the kicks can be viewed above, and note that these are on track to release on January 14 for $180 USD.In other news, on-foot shots of the Air Jordan 2 Low “Cherrywood” have popped up.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
