The pairs were worn by Bryant during the first half of the 2011-2012 season and were last seen in the exclusive 2016 “Fade to Black” pack.Seen on the feet of speedy guards such as Ja Morant and Jordan Poole, the Kobe 8 remains a trusted silhouette to this day. Designed by Eric Avar, the pairs feature a soccer-inspired style, found in an exceptionally light and low-cut design. The retros feature a classic monochrome makeup of engineered mesh uppers and pebbled leather overlays with embroidered branding accents decorating the tongue and laterals. Braille details are etched on the back of the Zoom Air midsoles and rounding out the look is a gloss-black wedge at the midfoot and hardwood-ready traction outsoles.“I’m always focused on improving my game, to perform at my best,” the late Kobe Bryant said at the unveiling in 2012. “By shaving fractions off the height and weight, it allows me to play faster with more control. I want to feel like I’m moving at the speed of light.”Take a closer look at the Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Triple White” above and look for the pairs to release in Fall 2023 in adult and GS sizing.Elsewhere in footwear, here’s the release info for Salehe Bembury’s Crocs Pollex Slides “Citrus Milk.”Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
