Looking at the current landscape of slip-on footwear styles, a new player has emerged: the Nike Calm Mule. Initially spotted last week, the Calm Mule has already succeeded in capturing the attention of many sneakerheads thanks to the success of the Calm Slide, which only touched down on shelves for the first time earlier this season, and the popularity of mules in general. It doesn’t hurt that the styling reminds many of the popular adidas YEEZY SLIDE as well.In its fifth presentation to surface, a brown “Sesame” coats the build. For those keeping up with all of the silhouette’s reveals thus far, you may note that it looks very similar to the “Hemp” colorway, however, the hues are slightly different. In “Sesame,” a slightly darker brown graces the shoe, though since the image source of the colorways doesn’t match, it’s possible the difference in lighting may result in this being inaccurate when compared in-person. All of its key details, from the tonal branding to the heel strap, are all present once again. At the time of writing, Nike has yet to officially reveal when the Calm Mule will touch down on shelves, including in this “Sesame” colorway. However, look for it to become available soon via Nike and select retailers at an expected price of $60 USD.Stay tuned for updates regarding the new silhouette and in case you missed it, be sure to check out Off-White™’s latest take on the Air Force 1 Mid — a “Varsity Maize” colorway that prominently features an embroidered grim reaper at the lateral heel.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
