Of all of the Nike silhouettes under the sun, one of the most recent silhouettes that has attracted the attention of many for its rather unorthodox design elements has been the Nike OverBreak SP. After taking on a collaborative project with Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER imprint, the model is returning to the spotlight in two Summer-friendly colorways entitled the “Dark Beetroot” and the “Pollen Rise”.Diving into the darker-toned iteration of the duo, the “Dark Beetroot” offering makes use of its nominal hue to paste across the synthetic base layer and hairy suede overlay that rest along the throat, forefoot and heels. Black notes are also pushed to the frontlines here across the Swooshes and heel overlays, both of which are engineered with smooth leathers. Laces come prepared with a three-toned that matches up with the top half’s schemes, and the sock liners are dyed with a faint red. Aggressive midsole units are primarily done up in an off white hue, but features a slight amount of bleeding from the upper. Its release counterpart is one of more vivid nature and permits the “Pollen Rise” to fill in most of the ground. Accompanying this is a “Neptune Green” pigment which sees its way to the Swooshes and rear overlays. Underneath, the midsoles split between a sail finish that comes slightly pre-yellowed towards the top to achieve an aged look. Black paneling also comes forth and lands on the toe tips and at various points of the treading.Nike hasn’t announced an official launch date for these just yet but you can likely expect them to drop in the coming months for $140 USD.For other footwear news, on-foot images of the Air Jordan 1 High “Metallic Purple” have emerged.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
