Nike Introduces “Alter & Reveal” Pack With Wearaway and Tearable Details

Continuing the concept of tearaway sneakers, Nike has unveiled its “Alter & Reveal” Pack, dropping Air Max 90 and Air Force 1 Low with properties that are tearable or transform over time. The Air Max 90 is dressed in a seemingly neutral colorway in beige, grey and black with hints of blue on the outsoles. A closer look reveals a mix of materials that can be seen on the leather mudguards, suede accents on the forefoot, denim collar and leather overlays on the toebox and Swooshes. With continued wear, pigments hidden underneath the materials will unveil themselves to complete a bold and colorful design – the black toebox and Nike’s logo on the sidewall will also change to orange and royal blue respectively, while the beige mudguard transforms into bold yellow. The “Alter & Reveal” tongue tag with stitches around the eyestay panel round off the look. The pack also comes with an Air Force 1 Low in a Black/White/Red/Tan colorway that sees black suede on the mudguard with a tan eyestay panel, while red leather graces the heel. The highlight is the black and white net inserts which can be torn to reveal the white and red underlays on the sidewalls and toebox. “Alter & Reveal” branding on the insoles completes the playful silhouette.Pricing and release dates have yet to be announced for the Air Max 90 while the Air Force 1 Low is expected to drop October 10 for $100 USD.For more footwear news, take an official look at the adidas YEEZY SLIDE “Pure” and “Soot.”Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
