Nike ACG Mountain Fly Low Is Back in “Flash Crimson” and “Brown Basalt”

Nike’s backcountry-geared Nike ACG label has readied a duo of new takes on the ACG Mountain Fly Low. Arriving in a bright “Flash Crimson” and a muted “Brown Basalt,” each colorway of the high-tech, low-top hiker draws from a different piece of the Hawaiian landscape — namely the island nation’s lava flows and igneous rocks. As expected, “Flash Crimson” is the more vivid of the two pairs. Its upper is done up in a vibrant, lava-inspired crimson red that’s accented with black heels, laces and trim, a sandy forefoot detail and a white midsole encased in a gum outsole. On the other hand (or foot), “Brown Basalt” uses an earthy brown top half with a lighter brown forefoot and similar black trim. There’s also slight touches of purple on the heel and collar — which serve a classic dash of hiking boot flair — plus a brown midsole and a black outsole. From a textile and technical standpoint, each pair uses a gridded ripstop-like material on its upper. There are no Swooshes, but there is a large ACG logo on the top of the foot and a reflective triangular badge towards the heel. Midsoles shroud a snappy carbon fiber plate in a thick cocoon of React foam and outsoles use an aggressive traction pattern for grip. ACG’s “All Conditions Means All Conditions” tagline is stamped on the insole to round off the look. The Nike ACG Mountain Fly Low “Flash Crimson” and “Brown Basalt” will release on Nike SNKRS come August 2 and each pair is priced at $180 USD. More styles will likely follow as part of ACG’s fall 2021 campaign.Elsewhere, ACG recently debuted the second iteration of the Air Nasu.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
