New Balance’s Made in England 1500 Joins the “Desert Scape Pack”

New Balance’s Flimby, UK factory has been doing what it does best in 2021, namely cranking out high-quality 991s, 920s and 1500s. It’s the 1500 that the Flimby folks have focused their energy on most recently however, as it’s now appeared in a “Desert Scape Pack” colorway that blends barren brown and tan shades with lush, luxurious materials.Heels take on both dark and medium brown shades, while the suede mudguard, leather overlays and mesh toeboxes/throats opt for various sandy tones. This entire assemblage is centered around a white quarter panel, made of cracked leather and embroidered with a two-tone N logo. The tongue is done up in white leather as well — smooth instead of cracked — and nods to its made in the UK construction with navy embroidery. More branding arrives via a white 1500 hit on the lateral heel. Down below, the look is finalized by a supportive ENCAP midsole and a traditional gum outsole. The made in England New Balance 1500 “Desert Scape Pack” will release at retailers like Asphalt Gold on May 8. Its MSRP is set at €169 EUR (approximately $204 USD), exclusive of tax.For more New Balance news, check out the brand’s MADE Responsibly 998 collection, shoes crafted entirely of randomly chosen surplus materials.
