Spearheading New Balance’s surge in popularity over the past couple of years is its classic 550 silhouette which has recently surfaced in a range of more experimental color options including the pink-tinted “White Scarlet” colorway. Recently surfacing in the pair’s original two-tone color blocking are two more 550 introductions in “Silver Birch” and “Aura Purple.”The “Silver Birch” colorway arrives as a more subtle fall-friendly option featuring soft beige hues while the “Aura Purple” is a standout take that matches previous collegiate-inspired releases. Both pairs feature a blend of white smooth perforated leather uppers with accent colors incorporated on the underlying mesh and lateral “N” logos. Classic New Balance basketball logos are shown on the tongue tabs and “NB” speed mark logos decorate the heel.
