New Balance’s 57/40 has surfaced in a summer-ready three pack of color pop-equipped styles. Each offers a bright accent tone that draws from its tennis and running heritage, while also mixing in a simple base to provide maximum contrast.Interested parties have their pick of kingly purple, bright orange or sky blue embellishments, each of which are placed on the 57/40’s midfoot N logo, tongue branding and heel. The rest of the each shoe mixes white mesh toeboxes, quarters and throats with tan suede mudguards, midfoot overlays, eyestays and heel pieces. This marks an interesting middle ground for the 57/40 as past makeups have tended to be either copiously colored or entirely muted. Heel clips are presented in gray, and double-stacked midsoles inspired in part by the classic 574 supply their own mix of tan and white. Black rubber outsoles finalize the look. All three colorways from this crisp pack of New Balance 57/40s are set to release in Japan at retailers like atmos on July 23. The MSRP for each pair is set at ¥13,200 JPY (approximately $120 USD), inclusive of tax.If you want to learn more about the 57/40 — and its first collaborative partner — check out HYPEBEAST’s recent interview with Bricks & Wood founder Kacey Lynch about the Bricks & Wood x New Balance 57/40.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
