New Balance has positioned itself at the helm of the collaboration-sphere. In recent memory, the Boston-based titan has tapped on numerous creatives and organizations to set their spin on its classic lifestyle models. From Dutch imprint Patta to Japan’s Atmos, New Balance shows no signs of slowing down and now reunites with London-based active club Run the Boroughs. The association, founded in 2019, has developed into a widespread community of British runners. Opening its doors to all who wish to join, the club trains beginners into long-distance racers while keeping family values high through regional culinary partnerships. Following its debut London marathon-inspired 991 collaboration released last year, the duo return to celebrate the 2022 event due to take place this Sunday with an all-new MiUK 730. The Made in UK silhouette has been crafted in New Balance’s Flimby factory and is added to the selection of pairs honoring its 40th anniversary. The design takes inspiration from the Run the Boroughs logo as deep blue makes its way through the delicate suede mudguards, medials and lower heels. Resistant mesh counteracts, gracing the toe boxes, forefoots and ankle areas in a tonal fashion, while “Sky Blue” foam reinforces the heel counters for a smooth voyage. Branding is kept clean and simple as creamy profile N badges deliver a sense of lightness alongside leather heel tabs decorated with sleek New Balance lettering. Insoles see linear graphics that read “TSC LONDON MARATHON,” extending onto branded tongues representing the 42-kilometre race route.Interesting in snagging a pair?
