Midfoot Logos are Nowhere to be Found on the New Balance 574 “Un-N-Ding”

You can’t spell New Balance without the N, but the brand’s latest 574 is attempting to do just that in celebration of “Grey Day,” New Balance’s yearly celebration of its “signature” color. Nicknamed the “Un-N-Ding” — a clever play on “unending” — this 574 lives up to its moniker by removing the signature N logo from its quarter, making for a stripped-back retro look that’s centered around timeless construction instead of familiar branding.Built of both shaggy gray suede and earthy tan meshes, the shoe gives off an intentionally aged look that’s furthered by its weathered black rubber outsole — possible nods to the 574’s initial release back in 1988. Cream laces and a light gray heel tab add further flair into the mix, while the shoe’s main pops of vibrance are supplied by the gold branding on its eggshell-colored tongue tag and the aforementioned heel tab. Aged heel clips and two-tone ENCAP midsoles finalize the look. The New Balance 574 “Un-N-Ding” is set to release in the coming weeks via the New Balance webstore. Its MSRP is set at $90 USD. Elsewhere in the world of New Balance, take a look at a signature light gray colorway of the 1700 and a colorful iteration of the made-in-the-UK 991.5 hybrid.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
