Kevin Durant has signed a lifetime deal with Nike. The two-time NBA champion joins the likes of Michael Jordan and LeBron James as the latest brand member to be rocking with the Swoosh forever.KD has been a brand ambassador for the Beaverton-based sportswear giant since 2007 when he entered the league as a rookie with the Seattle Supersonics. Since the time this partnership was forged, he’s cooked up 15 signature silhouettes, been involved with promoting the game of basketball on a global scale, paid it forward through various grassroots hoops programming for the youth, refurbished various public courts through his Durant Family Foundation and nurtured the next generation of basketball athletes through his own EYBL squad, Team Durant. With this new contract, the elite Phoenix Suns forward has intentions to continue to build his brand through footwear and apparel launches and expand his philanthropic and community-driven efforts.“When I first signed with Nike, I couldn’t have dreamed of how far we’d go in this partnership,” Durant says. “We’ve done amazing work creatively and philanthropically. We’ve traveled the world together and built a business that will now last forever.
