Karhu Dips Into the Archive for SS21 Trampas Collection

Finnish label Karhu has returned to its archival Trampas silhouette for its all-new capsule. The sneaker, which originally launched in the 1960s, plays an important part in the brand’s history after it was championed by the Finland’s Olympic athletes following its debut. For the latest release, Karhu has dressed the Trampas in four new colorways, each one taking inspiration from the brand’s archive. The 1960s silhouette is also constructed from luxurious materials, including cow suede uppers and premium leather linings. To honor the return of the Trampas — which relaunched with a Pop Trading Company collaboration in 2019 — Karhu is also releasing an apparel capsule honoring the silhouette. Featuring unstructured wool caps, heavyweight raglan sleeve crew neck sweatshirts, a classic coach jacket with chenille branding, short sleeve tees, totes and socks, the capsule references Karhu’s name — which translates as Bear — and the Trampas sneaker.Take a look at all four Trampas colorways, as well as the apparel collection, in the gallery above. The sneakers and clothing will both release via the Karhu web store on April 23.In other footwear news, New Balance has updated its 550 silhouette with three eye-catching colorways.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
