A sold-out show floor, 1,800 lines on display, thousands of attendees from the U.S. and around the world, and, of course, the biannual Cocktail Party & Casino Night industry party. The Atlanta Shoe Market once again brought the industry together to get business done.
There was an added charge in the air—The Battery buzzing with a four games series between the hometown Braves and Miami Marlins that included the first woman to umpire a Major League game. There was also the uncertainty stemming from an ongoing trade war that had many in attendance tense and cautious. Who knows how consumers will react come fall when prices rise and inventories might become scarce.
