Anytime JJJJound embarks on a new collaborative footwear journey, you can always expect the brand to apply its signature elegant and minimal design language. This month, the Montreal-based entity is reuniting with New Balance to drop another sleek 990v3 team-up. This marks the sixth iteration that the duo has worked on together, and it serves as a follow-up to the “Olive” 990v3 that dropped back in February of this year.JJJJound leans on an earthy ensemble for its design for this forthcoming installment. Mesh underlays and the buttery suede overlays across the mid-foot, rear end, and the front are fashioned with a muted brown hue. Sitting adjacent to this are solid black notes which cover the laces, tongues, interior lining, piping and the side N logos. Branding is present through the usual “990” hits that appear on the lateral heels as well as the spines which are fitted with “JJJJound” spell-outs, and New Balance emblems. Bright white branding from the Canada brand also shows face on the insoles.View the official lookbook images in the gallery above and mark your calendars for a May 12 release via JJJJound.
