Fitness sneaker imprint HOKA has quickly followed up from its recent “Speedgoat” silhouette with its first-ever trail shoe, in a move that looks to allow athletes to run more fearlessly than ever.Labelled the “Tecton X,” this latest shoe is the first carbon-plated silhouette in HOKA’s trail family and offers an innovative and dual-plated design that’s matched with a dual-intensity cushioned midsole. Its added cushioning allows for runners to move more freely, while also giving extra capability to stride with more precision. The sneaker has been named after the earth’s tectonic plates – which inspired the carbon fiber plate design – and has been poised to unleash a shift in trail running. The midsole features the two carbon fiber plates which are positioned parallel to each other, running lengthwise from toe to heel. Keeping the design unique, it also offers a propulsive and smooth stride while making room for dynamic movement on technical trail surfaces.HOKA’s carbon fiber design is the first of its kind to appear in the trail running space and has been finished off with a single-layer jacquard mesh upper, designed to give foot-hugging comfort with added security around the mid-foot. The addition of the sock liner also adds additional comfortability, while the outsole utilises Vibram Megagrip with Litebase construction. You can purchase the “Tecton X” from HOKA’s website on May 1.In other footwear news, Satta has reworked the classic adidas Original styles for size? in a new exclusive.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
