Today is the day that Givenchy officially releases Matthew M Williams’ groundbreaking new sneaker, the TK-360. Coming as part of the house’s Pre-Fall 2022 menswear collection, the TK-360 showcases how Givenchy is embarking on its new, technical era, punctuated by proprietary methods that make the TK-360 unlike anything else on the market.Williams describes the TK-360 as his “dream shoe,” partly thanks to its “total knit” construction that doesn’t necessarily wrap around the shoe, but actually makes up the shoe in its entirety. It singlehandedly solidifies Williams’ vision for Givenchy, which as we saw with other shoes such as the Monumental Mallow, G Clog and generally throughout its recent FW22 runway show, brings the brand into its futuristic identity.As for the TK-360 specifically, it fuses a custom-molded knit structure that creates a curvaceous, undulating, anthropomorphic and ergonomic shape that hugs the foot while propelling it away from the ground. Pod-like shapes sit under the foot, while grippy elements have been added into the fabric on the outsole to keep you from slipping away.Givenchy branding is kept to a minimum, only appearing on the lateral rear-quarter in its signature block-caps form. As for colors, this limited drop coming today brings the TK-360 in black, white, acid yellow, anthracite, and a May 6-exclusive pink hue. “Camel Beige” and “Navy” will also come later this year.The Givenchy TK-360 sneaker is set to drop later today, available to those who sign up for Givenchy’s exclusive early access list. Furthermore, Givenchy’s Miami Design District store, as well as Maxfield, Patron of the New in New York, A Ma Maniere in Houston and Atlanta, Crème in Philadelphia and GOAT.com will also drop the TK-360, while more colors will drop on June 6 worldwide on a more widely-available scale.Take a look at the Givenchy TK-360 above, and find out more online.
