First Look at the Air Jordan 1 Element GORE-TEX “Light Bone”

The GORE-TEX-equipped Air Jordan 1 Element is a shoe that enables Air Jordan 1 lovers to stay in their favorite silhouette no matter how inclement the weather may become. It was first revealed in a black/gray colorway earlier this fall, and now ahead of its speculated December debut it’s also surfaced in a “Light Bone” makeup. What makes the Air Jordan 1 Element GORE-TEX so compelling is that it retains much of the shape and structure of a regular Air Jordan 1, sacrificing none of its classic Jordan Brand style in pursuit of performance. On the “Light Bone,” this updated look is communicated with “Sail” ripstop material on the toeboxes, quarter panels and tongues, while “College Grey” nubuck is used on mudguards, eyestays and collars. The eponymous “Light Bone” tone appears on collar flaps and heels alike.Black is introduced into the mix as well, making its presence felt on the laces and branded hits — namely the printed Swooshes, stamped GORE-TEX logo on the lateral heel, the OG Air Jordan ball-and-wings graphic on the collar flap and the tongue’s hybrid badge, which brings its inner text to the outer half. Down below, white midsoles and black outsoles round off the look. The Air Jordan 1 Element GORE-TEX “Light Bone” will likely release this December, with early reports placing its arrival on the first of the month. However, an exact date of arrival has yet to be confirmed by Nike. Expect the MSRP to be set at $200 USD.
