The Jordan Brand has revealed its newest hybrid model which combines elements from some of the most classic Air Jordan silhouettes. Named, Jordan MVP, the shoe takes on design notes from the Air Jordan 6, 7 and 8, all of which were concocted and designed by the legendary Tinker Hatfield. These iconic silhouettes were the shoes NBA legend Michael Jordan wore in his first three-peat between 1991 to 1993 with championship victories over the Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trail Blazers and the Phoenix Suns. Paying homage to Jordan’s major feat, the Jordan MVP receives a first official look at the “Black Royal” colorway. The shoe comes dressed in a clean black, white, varsity royal, muslin and iron grey color scheme. Jordan’s newest silhouette is also constructed out of black nubuck material for the upper. Royal blue contrasting accents are seen throughout the shoe including the medial panel, inner lining, heel branding and midsole. Other details give a nod to the three Air Jordans the shoe takes inspiration from, from the TPU paint strokes, tongues, midsoles and the icy translucent outsole. Look out for the Jordan MVP “Black Royal” coming later this year at select retailers and on Nike for $165 USD. In other footwear news, gear up for the summer in a newly surfaced “Pistachio Frost” colorway for the Jordan Hex Mule slides.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
