Look for cool updates to a classic, as American heritage brand L.B. Evans introduces its first women’s collection and gets ready to relaunch men’s for SS27 with an expanded casual collection in July.
Best known for men’s indoor/outdoor slippers, L.B. Evans traces its roots back to 1804, when Thomas and Amos Evans started a small shoe-making shop in a local general store in Massachusetts. Over two centuries, the name became synonymous with quality craftsmanship and construction. The brand’s new offerings honor that legacy but incorporate innovations “that read modern, comfortable, soft, and rich,” says Heidi Speranza, head of U.S. brand development.
Show attendees will have a chance to check out the women’s collection, which features a contemporary casual-chic aesthetic with styling inspired by indoor/outdoor-slippers, premium leathers, and an emphasis on comfort details, says Speranza. Also on display will be a selection of classic slipper styles for men, available in extended sizes.
Speranza believes this is the ideal time for L.B. Evans’ new collections, given that “Casuals today are the fastest growing category in the market. Customers are looking for casuals to meet their everyday needs, fashion, comfort, day-to-night, etc.”
The new collections will be sold at retail as well as on the brand’s website.
