London-based active club Run the Boroughs has made it a habit to unite with New Balance in celebration of the annual TSC London Marathon. The duo has collaborated on the Made in UK 730 and 991 silhouettes over the past two years, touching on the 576 for 2023. Since 2018, Run The Boroughs has crafted a close-knit community of British runners and often takes over the capital’s streets with immersive races open to athletes of all ages. In honor of the 42-kilometer race, New Balance and Run The Boroughs presents a unique take on the 576 that reflects the collective’s local roots. Motivating its wearers to explore London’s enchanting neighborhoods, the shoe is embraced by a natural green palette inspired by the city’s outdoor landscape. Moss-like green shades adorn the suede mudguards and heel counters, contrasted by grey mesh underlays that mirror London’s concrete buildings. Lighter variations hit the medial panels, ankle areas, and rear tabs, while customary N logos decorate the first with white leather perimeters. Grey rubber heel guards are embossed with New Balance branding accompanied by additional markings throughout the pair. Finally, fuzzy pigskin tongues receive interchangeable patches with compass-like directions, portraying different areas across London. Two-toned midsoles and track-ready gum bottoms complete the design. Take a closer look at the Run The Boroughs x New Balance 576 in the gallery above. The shoe is set to launch via New Balance and select retailers on April 20. Elsewhere, Nike adds the Air Max 1 ’86 “Light Silver” to its Big Bubble line-up.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
