Even after rolling out an astounding 50 Dunk colorways by way of exclusive access only, Virgil Abloh and Nike have more projects in the pipeline for us to look forward to. Staying within the realm of the Swoosh’s Sportswear catalog, the culture-shifting designer is now applying his talents to the Nike Blazer Low and whipping it up in black and white colorways, the latter of which has just surfaced via early imagery. Its upper layer is designed with a crisp white leather material and features see-through TPE circles on the toeboxes, forefoot, midfoot and heels much like Abloh’s previously launched Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5 collaborations. Other important elements to point out on the base layer include that of the side Swooshes which are draped in a bold red hue, the extra set of yellow laces that weave across the upper as the tan canvas strip overlays that also act as the mudguards. Backgrounds of the midsoles are pre-yellowed for a vintage effect, and come seated next to a midsole black mold that is decorated with yellow and blue panels. Additional accessories include that of the white hang tags, and Helvetica branding printed atop the shoe laces and on the medial wall. There’s no exact time frame as to when these will drop yet, but it’s likely that these could see an official release towards the end of 2021.Elsewhere in sneaker news, Social Status recently unveiled release dates for its impending Nike Dunk Mid collaborations.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
