New Balance has a tendency of teaming up with a handful of retailers every year for special collaborative projects, and one of those is sneaker chain DTLR. In the past, the two brands have worked on silhouettes such as the 992, 2002R and the 997, and now they’ve joined hands to fashion a collaborative 990v3.DTLR has officially titled its newest team-up the “Miami Drive” colorway, and it’s vivid details will show you why. A majority of the shoes come fitted with the standard gray mesh underlays and forefoot overlays much like its OG variation, but it’s the accents here that do most of the heavy lifting. The heel panels that host the traditional 990v3 branding are splashed with pink and sit adjacent to orange collars. From there, notes of teal come in to border the N logos, spill over the tongue branding and touch up various overlays to further express the vibrant energy of South Beach. If you’re thinking of adding this Summer-ready pair to your rotation, you can find DTLR dropping these on May 27.
