While primarily known as a skateboarding imprint, Dime has made its presence felt in the sneakers sphere as it has aligned with a vast array of brands to cook up footwear collaborations. The Montreal-based imprint linked up with Reebok for a Workout Plus capsule and Vans for Skate Half Cab ’92 and Wayvee installments, and now it’s slated to work alongside Merrell 1TRL to fashion a trail-ready Moab capsule. The overall shape and materials that are signature to the hiking model are kept intact, leaving room for Dime to toy with clean palettes and subtle branding. The low-slung kicks are prepared with their traditional mesh underlays, toe boxes and tongues while the overlays are crafted from their usual suede material. Up top you can spot branding from the skate-centric label in two areas, the first being the “Dime” hit that is printed on the lateral side of the toe box while the other is “Dime” hit is dropped off on the yellow heel tabs. Sole units are equipped with Vibram technology and branded with Merrell spell-outs. The colorways that are lined up include a colder purple iteration as well as a cleaner white makeup. You can likely expect these collaborative Moabs to launch in the coming weeks. For other news, check out Dime’s Holiday ’22 collection.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
