Detailed look at the Nike Air More Uptempo “Renowned Rhythm”

Few eras of NBA basketball can compare to the ultra-competitive showdowns that went down in the 90s, and during this time period, legends like Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen instantly became idolized for their skills and fashion sensibilities. For Pippen, the Nike Air More Uptempo was a consistent go-to for the two-way forward, and it’s now being highlighted by the Swoosh once again through a new colorway entitled the “Renowned Rhythm” — a namesake procured and inspired by #33’s capabilities of playing with both aggression and grace. The color execution on these retro basketball kicks are emblematic of the Chicago Bulls — the very franchise that Pippen won six championships with. A pristine theme is shown through white perforated leathers and to form the side paneling as well as the nylon tongues. Oversized AIR lettering — a design element signature to this silhouette — also comes primarily presented in white, while its borders offset with “Varsity Red”. More “Varsity Red” hits disperse to the embroidered checks that are lie on the tongues and forefoot, in addition to the puffed up Swooshes on the heels.Bottoms bring in more of the same elements as its blocky midsole is backdropped in white, while the Swooshes and visible Air units arrive painted in the same accenting hue as its upper half.If you’re thinking of adding these to your collection, the pair will be releasing via Nike SNKRS on April 15, 2021 for $160 USD.On the hunt for more footwear news? Official Images of the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas ZX 8000 SUPEREARTH

Sean Wotherspoon and adidas’ sustainability-focused collaborative efforts are set to enter a new chapter with the release of the ZX 8000 SUPEREARTH. First premiered by Wotherspoon himself in September 2020 and following a Superstar SUPEREARTH collaboration, Wotherspoon’s ZX 8000 is unlike anything in the A-ZX lexicon thanks to its patchwork-style build and rough-hewn details. Uppers are culled from a hodgepodge of textiles, ranging from earthy tones on the toebox and around the collar to plaid mudguards and tongues. Orange makes its presence felt on the heel and midfoot, with neon green gracing the laces. Wotherspoon’s signature dangling embroidered flowers appear in red, neon green and white on the lateral side, all with long, uncut strings that touch the ground — a style carried over from his Superstar. The medial side eschews floral detailing in favor of seven different embroidered Trefoil logos placed in abstract fashion, and a translucent heel clip shows tangled threads under its TPU build. Natural-toned midsoles provide the shoe’s only straightforward piece, and special SUPEREARTH branding appears on tongues, heels and insoles alike. Among these three spots, it’s most notable on the tongue where it sits above a screen printed graphic of Earth. The Spoonman’s initials are placed on the midsole’s yellow Torsion bar to complete the look. The Sean Wotherspoon x adidas ZX 8000 SUPEREARTH is set to release via the adidas webstore on March 12, likely priced at $140 USD.For more news on upcoming sneaker releases, check out the latest installment of HYPEBEAST’s weekly Best Footwear Drops list.
