Last month, it was reported that LaMelo Ball would miss the remainder of the 2022-23 NBA season with a right ankle fracture. Thankfully for fans of the young star, this setback hasn’t impacted his rollout of new looks with PUMA Hoops. The duo continues to elaborate on their MB.02 silhouette as Rick and Morty and “Jade”-themed releases recently hit shelves. Now, they draw inspiration from Buzz City jerseys with a new “Honeycomb” rendition.Previously, an MB.01 “Buzz City” launched in a primarily black presentation that featured hits of teal. This time around, the two change places as the light blue hue dresses a majority of the shoe — nodding to the coin producing branch Mint that launched after North Carolina’s first US gold rush. Supplementing this color, black covers the silhouette’s signature wings while hits of gold pop up at the medial, collar, tongue and heel branding. A NITRO-backed midsole returns for movement support to complete the build. For those interested in suiting up in LaMelo Ball’s PUMA MB.02 “Honeycomb,” it has been prepared to launch on March 10 at a price of $130 USD via PUMA and select retailers.
