Following its bandana-printed collaboration with luxury retailer Antonia, Texan footwear label Autry is preparing for April Fools Day with a twisted sneaker release. Dubbed the Autry Reverse, the limited-edition style breaks the brand’s fundamental design rules by stepping under a rebellious light. Autry’s iconic Medalist silhouette is used as a base, altering its recognizable medial windows with inverted logos. The rest of the shoe is kept simple, featuring white leather uppers with toe box perforations and disconnected lacing systems. Metallic Autry branding hits the tongues, complete with yellowed rubber soles. The design change symbolizes April Fools’ banter-filled identity and allows sneaker fans worldwide to grasp a pair with a unique detail never seen before. Take a closer look at Autry’s April Fools Reverse Sneaker in the gallery above. The shoe will drop on April 1 via the brand’s website and select retailers worldwide. Orders will only be available for 24 hours. Elsewhere, Shane Gonzales and Vault by Vans come together for first collaboration.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
