The Made-in-UK New Balance 991 Gets Hit With Navy and Red Color-Blocking

New Balance has certainly set the bar high for itself this year after having a successful 2020 run, and it seems as though it will be sticking to the winning formula of pushing out more lifestyle runners for its fans. One being the Made-in-UK New Balance 991 whom after launching through a collaboration with Patta, is now being brought to the forefront for a brand new navy and red “Nu Block” Pack colorway. For its base construction, pigskin suedes and tumbled leather materials flood its entirety. The former builds out the medial and lateral paneling in a dark navy, while the latter is evident across the various overlays that run across. A lighter-tinted navy tone outfits the mid-foot, while a red wine-esque hue tumbles onto the “N” logos, toe tips and mudguards. Collars are left untouched in white, while the back end which hosts the silhouette’s traditional reflective “991” hit is doused in a charcoal grey. From there, the nylon tongues contrast with all-white skins, and come prepared with navy blue laces and red branding.ABZORB-cushioned midsoles split between white outers towards the forefoot and off-white along the rear, and come finished with a navy blue mold that’s glued to the back. All-black outsoles round out its design. If interested, you can cop this pair now via select retailers like size? for £190.00 (approx. $263 USD)For more on the latest in shoes, a New Balance 2002R “Year of the Ox” colorway recently dropped.

Nike Air Force 1 “Pink Bag” and “White Bag” Celebrate NYC’s Bodegas

Nike is paying homage to New York City’s bodegas — small convenience stores that are the lifeblood of neighborhoods from Harlem to Bushwick and Astoria — with two new Air Force 1s dubbed “Pink Bag” and “White Bag.” Drawing inspiration from the reusable shopping bags found in bodegas until the recent city-wide plastic bag ban curtailed their numbers, both pairs are a homage to urban life and the businesses that make the Big Apple unique. As their names suggest, the “Pink Bag” features a soft pink leather upper while the “White Bag” opts for a crisp white leather upper. Each top half is entirely monochromatic in style, save for the tongue tag which serves a repeating red Nike Sportswear graphic for a tweaked take on a familiar bag graphic. Though the tongue tag offers a mark that’s familiar to any city dweller, the white midsole supplies each shoe’s signature flourish by adding a rose graphic around the lateral side’s Air branding. On the “Pink Bag,” this embellishment is done up entirely in red. On the “White Bag,” the red rose is accentuated by a green stem and leaf. Final hits of detail are supplied by Swooshed smiley faces and “Have a Nike Day” text hits on the insoles plus embroidered Nike graphics on the heel. Classic white outsoles complete the look. The Nike Air Force 1 “Pink Bag” and “White Bag” are both set to release via Nike SNKRS Japan come February 24. The MSRP for each is set at a tax-included ¥13,200 JPY (approximately $125 USD).For more footwear news, take a detailed look at the sacai x Nike Blazer Low “Dark Grey.”

Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT Gets Dressed With a “Canyon Rust” Palette

One of the more modernized silhouettes within Jordan Brand’s lifestyle lineup, the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT has been full head of steam in recent memory revealing itself via a collaboration with Aleali May along with accompanying GR colorways. Now, the model is taking a moment to cater to its women’s audience by being produced with a new “Canyon Rust” theme. As one can probably gather from its moniker, the iteration is heavily reliant on earthy hues to outfit its upper half. Base layers are split between materials of natural leather and suede, the former constructing the forefoot and throat overlays while the latter forms the builds of the toe boxes, ankle flaps, quarters and heel overlays. These Jordan kicks are lead by the titular shading which floods the mid-foot as well as the darker browns that dye the tongues, toe boxes and panels that house the wings logos. Dusty lavender leathers are positioned atop the forefoot and lower heel while a rosy pink paints over the toe tips and throat overlays. Moreover, both the Swooshes and interior foam lining are both dressed with clean white finishes.Lying underneath are midsoles and outsoles identically styled with “Sail” surfaces. You can view a gallery of official images above, and note that these will launch via Nike Japan on February 24 for ¥17,050 (approx. $161 USD).For more sneaker news, the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 3 collaboration has been revealed.
