ASICS’ footwear department has been unloading a sizable amount of new offerings for the Spring season, some of which include the single-toned GEL-Lyte Vs and GEL-PTG iterations that have been reworked with velcro straps. Now, the Japanese brand is dishing out a new Summer-ready silhouette entitled the Bondal Sandal under its SportStyle division. When assessing its overall design, its silhouette is very reminiscent of a Suicoke KISEE-V due to the nature of its airy upper and hefty strap constructions. The base layers are built with full canvas materials and split between a forefoot and a heel piece. The latter carries a velcro strap that shows off ASICS branding on the lateral side extends around the ankle to heel area. Beneath all of that is a chunky sole unit that features various interesting textures. Bulbous and oval shaped bumps are present along the lateral heels while fin-like grooves are carved on the mid-foot.Four colorways have been launched through retailer Mita including a “Wood Crepe”, “Black”, “Mantle Green” and a “Midnight/Piedmont Gray”. Retail price for the sandals is set at ¥7,040 (approx. $64 USD).For more on the latest from ASICS, peep a detailed look at its recent sneaker collaborations with the likes of Coca-Cola and Ballaholic.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
