ASICS’ GEL-1130 is a homage to the brand’s GEL-1000 running series, and was recently given an extra push due to its involvement in Kiko Kostadinov Studio’s in-line set of lifestyle releases. Now, the GEL-1130 is back — sans the touch of Kiko’s design crew — with a duo of classic running shoe colorways: “Pure Gold” and “Polar Shade.” Each versatile, low-cut mesh style draws its ethos from the track but was designed to be worn casually in the streets. “Pure Gold” embellishes its white mesh upper with rich metallic gold and silver detailing plus hits of jet black, most prominent on the midfoot’s Tiger stripe. “Polar Shade,” on the other hand, supplies a more airy look by offering up tonal overlays with hits of soft gray for contrast. Down below, each silhouette is contrasted by a thick slab of GEL cushioning in the midsole’s heel and a supportive midfoot shank. The ASICS GEL-1130 “Pure Gold” and “Polar Shade” are both set to release at retailers like Sivasdescalzo come August 27. Each pair is priced at a palatable $90 USD.For more news on upcoming sneaker releases, check out a new iteration of ASICS’ GEL-Lyte III that’s wrapped in sturdy Okayama denim and supple premium leather.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
