Update: Following numerous teasers, A-COLD-WALL* (ACW) has finally offered an official look at its upcoming Air Max Plus sneaker collaboration with Nike. Now dubbed TN98, the sneakers will be released in the understated and austere “Stone” and “Onyx” colorways that nod to ACW’s signature industrial aesthetics. With the help of thermo-molding, the TN98’s exoskeleton features a highly stylized upper in a wave pattern, which adds an eclectic but structural touch to the silhouette. The shoe is also intended to age with patina, making every pair unique to its wearer over time and wear. A weathered Nike Air bubble cushioning system is also implemented into the TN98 to enhance the individualized “worn-in” look, all without compromising on comfort. Both “Stone” and “Onyx” colorways of the ACW_NIKE TN98 sneakers will be available via ACW’s webstore starting September 12, followed by a September 19 release on SNKRS. The kicks will then be available to shop at select retailers around the world from September 21, 2023. Meanwhile, a previously-teased House Blue version is confirmed to be an ACW-exclusive colorway that will be released in the near future.Update: It’s been many months since the latest project from A-COLD-WALL* (ACW) and Nike first popped up. Taking on the Air Max Plus this time around, a total of three colorways have been assembled — the “Stone” and “Onyx” pictured above and a previously-revealed all-blue pair. Now, Nike has announced that it will be releasing the first two looks via its SNKRS platform on September 21 at a price of $220 USD each. In addition to this, ACW is expected to host its own launch in the coming weeks, as teased in the Instagram post embedded below. Samuel Ross’ label was seen bonding with Converse to introduce a dyed AEON ACTIVE CX installment and announced its latest two-pronged 1461 capsule with Dr. Martens, and now it’s slated to link up with Nike to introduce two colorways atop the Air Max Plus.Aligning with ACW’s minimalistic design language, both colorways in this assemblage come treated with monochromatic motifs. Ross’ “Platinum Tint” and “Black” colorways trade out the classic silhouette’s traditional mesh build for a premium leather construction and feature extra branded hits that nod to his luxury streetwear imprint. “ACW” shoutouts are present inside the Nike Air Max Plus badges on the tongues, on the lower parts of the heels beneath the “TN” emblems, on the mid-sections of the midsoles and the insoles on the left side. Furthermore, the uppers are styled with extra square cut-outs on the side panels for subtle-yet striking flair. At the time of writing, A-COLD-WALL* and Nike haven’t confirmed an official launch date, but you can enjoy a closer look at each pair and its special packaging in the gallery above. Each pair is expected to retail for $210 USD.For other news, an EYBL-themed Air Jordan 37 Low colorway has been unveiled.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
