adidas is Reportedly Bringing Back a Duo of Kobe Bryant Models in 2022

As far as we know it, the connection between Kobe Bryant and Nike is nonexistent as his wife Vanessa Bryant has stated on many occasions given that they were unable to reach an agreement on a contract extension. And since Nike-made Mamba products are unlikely to release for in the foreseeable future, the word on the street is that adidas is planning on bringing back some of the early models he sported during his time as a Three Stripes signee. Slated to return in 2022 are the five-time champion’s adidas Kobe 1 and the adidas EQT Elevation silhouettes. The adidas EQT Elevation — which is now called the Crazy 97 EQT — was one of the first models that Kobe rocked during his rookie year in ’96. The OG “Lakers” installment — the very colorway he laced up for the 1997 NBA Dunk Contest — will be making its way back to the shelves along with a blue and orange makeup that honors the 1997 NBA All-Star weekend.Alongside these pairs will be the return of the adidas Kobe 1 — the Lakers star’s first signature that dropped back in 2001. On deck is the original “Sunshine” variation that is color-blocked with a bold yellow upper and black soles to nod his LA squad, along with the white and black “Stormtrooper” offering that is engineered with white uppers and black treading.adidas has yet to confirm this launch, but early reports are saying that the kicks could be seeing an official drop come Spring 2022.In case you missed it, adidas and Jeremy Scott recently revealed a teddy bear-adorned Adidas adilette Slide.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
