adidas Fits the Ultra4D in “Miami Hurricanes” Colors

In 2016, adidas was having a strong run with its UltraBOOST and with cosigns from every notable celebrity and sports star imaginable, colorways such as the UB 1.0 “Miami Hurricanes” became a highly sought-after instant classic. Now, the Three Stripes is bringing this rare colorway back in the form of an Ultra4D — in short, pairing the best colorway with the best of adidas’ tech.Officially adorning a colorway comprising “Collegiate Green,” “Footwear White,” and “Collegiate Orange,” the pair features a Primeknit upper in the same pattern as the UB 1.0 with the orange looking as if it has been flecked through the green base. Areas of orange appear on the Ultra4D-branded heel cup, the tongue, and inside, while at the rear we find green once again forming the heel section.Bringing this all together is the “Footwear White” Three Stripes on the lace cage and, of course, the 4D sole unit. Using light, resin, and oxygen, adidas crafts a lattice-woven 4D sole unit that’s squishy to the touch (but not as much as BOOST) while dense and supportive. The result is something that can be walked or ran on all day long, offering great absorption too. However, we doubt anyone buying these will take them for a run. Like the UB 1.0 “Miami Hurricanes,” these are destined to be a sure sell-out. The pair releases at stockists such as Overkill on August 1 and is set to cost €220 EUR (approx. $260 USD).In case you missed it, check out the latest issue of Sole Mates.
