Following on from its retro of the EQT Cushion ’91, adidas Consortium is back with another pair that honors next week’s Boston Marathon: the ADIZERO Pro RNRS High in “White/Green.”While the aforementioned EQT pair featured a black upper that was decorated with “EQT Green” city map embroidery, marking out routes for the marathon, this pair is made from a gauze-like Celarmesh material that’s semi-transparent, making for a very light, breathable, and close-fitting shoe. Multiple eyelet options decorate the upper for a tighter and customized fit, while the strategically-designed heel clip and tongue come together to better secure your foot in place.A particular standout feature for this running shoe is its sole unit, which combines a Carbitex carbon fiber plate sandwiched between a firm yet squishy BOOST heel segment and a firm and propulsive Lightstrike system that runs the length of the mid-foot to the forefoot. A Continental outsole adds to the overall wearing experience and is well balanced for a sturdy, grippy run, but at the heel you’ll find an AdiWear section that better suits the BOOST above it.This particular offering features a colorway that starts off black at the toe and, by the means of green flames, turns white towards the rear. The same pattern decorates the multi-piece sole unit, while the tongue and heel appear in black.adidas Consortium’s ADIZERO Pro RNRS High in “White/Green” is due to launch later today on Nice Kicks’ online shop, costing $180 USD.
