Acne Studios’ 08STHLM High Glitter Will Have You Looking Like a Disco

To some, Jonny Johansson’s Acne Studios is the perfect minimalistic brand, and to others, its daring array of braver garments and accessories are what attracts one to the garish side of this Stockholm-based imprint — and for those who fall into the latter category, Acne Studios presents to you the 08STHLM High Glitter.Limited to just 300 pairs worldwide, the 08STHLM High Glitter takes from historic basketball silhouettes and refines the shapes under Acne Studios’ perfected lens. As a result, the lines and segmented areas of this high-top sneaker are subtle and don’t present too much in the way of distraction — because handling that duty is the all-over glitter effect applied to the 08STHLM.From top to bottom (as in, quite literally, to the sole unit), you’ll find glitter decorating the shoe across every millimeter. Working your way down the shoe, you’ll notice a padded tongue with Acne Studios’ face logo gracing the translucent lace stopper, chrome-effect eyelets, silver, gray, and some glittery gold panels all around, Acne Studios branding on the heel which is placed next to a webbing strap, and the aforementioned flock-print midsoles.Additionally, Acne Studios adds a sheer, sock-like shoe lining, and presents the 08STHLM in a holographic box that comes with extra glittery laces, socks, chrome deodorizer balls, and holographic stickers. As we said earlier, there are just 300 pairs of these available — but all can be bought in-store or from Acne Studios’ website now for $700 USD a pair.In case you missed it, here’s a better look at the new collaborative Nike Dunks coming from Parra, Gundam, FTC, and Quartersnacks.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
