There are still a ton of question marks surrounding Kyrie Irving’s future in the league given that he has been openly reluctant about receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, but if there’s anything basketball-related that is for certain, it’s that Nike still has intentions of rolling out his next signature shoe: the Kyrie 8. Every year, the shifty point guard always cooks up multiple colorways that are dedicated to WNBA superstar Sue Bird under the “Keep Sue Fresh” moniker, and the first iteration has now popped up.The color schemes that are used on this impending installment mix between brighter neutrals and louder accents. The former is seen via the off-white skins that are applied to the tumbled leather side panels, toe boxes, tongues and laces. Nurse scrub green accents then follow suit as they drop off on the interior lining, mid-foot and lower heel overlays, and around the toe tips between its a translucent film. From there, a Tiffany-esque teal dresses up the Swoosh outlines and forefoot strip. Rounding out the kicks come angelic overlays that arrive just above the midsole unit and around the aforementioned Swooshes as well as mid-sections that are draped in a darker shade of beige.A release date has yet to be announced from Nike and other retailers, but it’s likely that these could be launching in the coming months.Looking for more footwear news?
