Nike has just unveiled its newest football boot from its Phantom line. Named the Phantom GX, the boot is one of the sportswear giant’s most advanced boots with a focus on precision. Made from 20 percent recycled content by weight, the Phantom GX features fingerprint-inspired Gripknit yarn uppers which have the benefit of having a pliable and grippy sensation without an extra coating (skins) for weatherization — giving players an increased boot-to-ball connection. The uppers are matched with a new agility plate that consists of 13 studs, five of which are Tri-star studs. The highest stud variation in Nike’s lineup, this gives players the stability for multidirectional bursts during a match. For fit, the Phantom GX brings back the Ghost Lace system that was found in the Phantom Vision 1 and 2, this seamless lacing system maximizes surface area and works in conjunction with the Gripknit uppers. In other soccer news, Adidas unveils “Al Hilm” Qatar World Cup finals ball.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
