Salomon is already known for its catalog of well-received stylish, yet performance-oriented footwear. But now the brand is taking a step into community with its new collaboration with the Paris-based Afro-vegan restaurant, Jah Jah.As a celebration of African and Caribbean communities, the collaboration dips the RX MOC 3.0 silhouette in shades of red, yellow and green. The three shades have been key in the African diasporic history as they represent ancestral bloodshed and sacrifice, wealth in diversity and tradition and growth that stems from the Earth. With many deep meanings embedded into the hues, they represent a feeling of reflection, pride and joy for those of African ancestry. The sock-like shoe’s upper appears in the three shades, while the sole appears in black. The collection honors the feelings of pride fused with power in its celebration of culture. Take a look at the Jah Jah x Salomon RX MOC 3.0 collaboration in the gallery above, which is set to release soon.In other news, “Aquamarine” engulfs this ASICS GEL-NYC.

Salomon Unveils Ciele Athletics Runners Pack
Salomon has revealed a new pack of runners in collaboration with the “performance and protection” driven brand Ciele Athletics. The release sees all white silhouettes receive a splash of color and excitement, with included models featuring the Glide Max TR, Aero Glide and Reelax Moc 6.0.Primarily known around the world for its high-quality trail shoes, hiking boots and winter sports equipment — Salomon has also transcended into the streetwear scene, through collaborations with names like Hidden NY, Bodega, END, Dover Street Market, Palace, and more.In this latest collection, however, the designs are geared more towards athletes, as they are the core focus of Ciele, which aims to provide performance and protection while moving them to move.At the top of the lineup in performance and price is the Glide Max TR, priced at $185 USD and treated with various hues of orange, red and yellow throughout — with subtle touches of dark green.Next is the Aero Glide, coming in at $174 USD, featuring a more calm design with a variety of blues and greens complimented by a splash of yellow at the side and a touch of red at the heel.Last but not least is Salomon’s Reelax Moc 6.0, priced at $92 USD, which at first glance appears to be the most low-key offering of the three, thanks to the design being mostly inward facing. Although, upon closer inspection the seemingly all-white shoe features over six colors, including various shades of orange, red, yellow, green and blue. The fun and exciting take on the white silhouettes is set to go live on sites like SVD starting July 7.In related news, see the and wander x Salomon Cross Hikes dropping on HBX Archives.
