UGG has pulled back the curtain on its “Feels Like UGG” Fall/Winter 2023 campaign, lauding its signature heritage styles on a fresh class of multi-hyphenate creatives. First introduced for Fall 2022, the global campaign centers on “how consumers feel on the inside and out while wearing UGG” by showcasing the imprint’s wide-ranging collection in action.To do so, the fan-favorite footwear label recruited a roster of path-forging individuals to appear in the campaign. Among them, London-based designer Feng Chen Wang, supermodel Aweng Chuol, illustrator Monica Ahanonu, activist-philanthropist Anya Dillard, athletes Cesar and Douglas Diaz, model and actress Kōki and life coach Amy Lee pose in UGG’s cozy kicks.In the first “Feels Like UGG” delivery, the brand includes a bevy of updated silhouettes, with new platforms, colorways, oversized constructions and eco-conscious compositions. The standouts include the Tazz, which offers a maximalist take on the label’s signature Tasman; the Classic Ultra Mini Platform, which reaches new heights with a two-inch base; the Neumel, which features a fat tongue, extra-heel padding and wide laces; and the Classic Brellah Mini, which revamps the signature Mini Boot with a bold synthetic patent upper.Styles featured in the sartorial imagery are now available to shop on the brand’s webstore. Jayson Tatum Debuts Jordan Tatum 1 “Denim”
Boston Celtics star and Deuce’s dad, Jayson Tatum was spotted debuting the highly-anticipated Jordan Tatum 1 “Denim” at the 2023 NBA Summer League held in Las Vegas held at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion.The upcoming colorway for Tatum’s signature basketball shoe pays homage to the player’s pre-game style. Combining a color palette that includes stone blue, university red, mystic navy, photon dust and wheat tones. The shoe is constructed with an engineered mesh upper that gives the shoe added breathability and lightweight feeling. The denim washed accents highligh the TPU eyelets, collar and heel overlays. Tatum’s “JT” branding appears on the tongue while the Jumpman moniker is seen in red on the lateral ankle. The shoe sits atop a white foam rubber outsole for added support while the Zoom Air unit adds the responsiveness in the underfoot for optimal on-court cushioning. Nike Reportedly Re-Signs Deion Sanders
The former NFL and MLB star Deion Sanders has reportedly re-signed with sportswear conglomerate Nike. The renewal of his partnership with the Swoosh comes after he had previously vowed to never work with the brand again. Sanders and Nike had a falling out in the early 2000s, but have since reconciled their relationship with the most recent news of the agreement. Sanders played in the MLB from 1989 to 2001 and the NFL from 1989 to 2005, becoming the only player to ever make it to the World Series and the Super Bowl. During his tenure as an active athlete professional MLB and NFL athlete, he had his own sneaker with his signature line of Nike Air Diamond Turf training shoes. The first of the line debuted in 1993, followed by the sequel in ’94, the Diamond Turf Max in ’96 and the Air Diamond Turf 4 in ’97 and lastly the Air Diamond Turf 5 in ’98. Sanders’ signature shoe became one of Nike’s most popular shoes in that particular era. However, the relationship hit a downfall, causing Sanders to sign a long-term partnership deal with Under Armour in 2009. The announcement comes after Sanders posted to Instagram with a pair of his original Air Diamond Turf, while also wearing a co-branded Nike long-sleeve t-shirt. The caption read, “We coming @nike.” ESPN’s Nick DePaula also took to Twitter to confirm the news. Sander’s deal is rumored to be worth $10 million USD annually. It is unclear how many years his new partnership contract will go on for with Nike.
