A Fall-Ready “Sequoia” Graces the Nike Zoom Vomero 5

It didn’t take long for Nike to make it clear that the Zoom Vomero 5’s return was designed to make the silhouette a go-to stylish lifestyle sneaker offering for 2023. A plethora of colorways hit the net for months on end, only slowing down slightly in recent months as revealed pairs continue to finally hit shelves. Without any collaborations backing the model in the past year, save for the special Doernbecher pair, it managed to land in the Hypebeast team’s favorite sneaker list for the first half of 2023.Now, it’s gearing up for fall with a new “Sequoia” colorway that sprinkles reflective detailing across the dark green upper. Its signature shade of green coats the familiar mixed material build of mesh, suede, leather and synthetic notes with the silver reflective bits offering contrast. Supporting the sneaker, the often-used “Sail” hue is wedged at the midsole between the upper and black rubber outsole. As of now, the Swoosh has yet to divulge any release details pertaining to the Zoom Vomero 5 in “Sequoia.” Stay tuned for a release date as this pair is likely to hit shelves this fall via Nike and select retailers at a price of $160 USD in women’s sizing. For more of the latest news from the ever-evolving footwear industry, Turnstile bassist Franz Lyons flexed a first look at the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Air Flea 2 at Rolling Loud Miami.

Black and Brown Cover the Nike Air Force 1 Wild

Earlier this month, Nike brought forth images of its latest take on the Air Force 1 — the Air Force 1 Wild. Designed as an outdoors-ready version of the classic sneaker, the shoe seems to draw inspiration from the Nike ACG division with its various utilitarian notes. Now, prior to the brand officially announcing the style, it has popped up in a black and brown colorway.Again, the AF1 Wild balances a ballistic nylon at the base with suede detailing at the various overlays, including the Swooshes. Throughout the upper, black dominates as the primary color with hits of dark brown sliding in at the lateral midfoot embroidery, tongue and heel branding, eyestays and reinforced heel. From there, a black pull tab attached to the tongue emphasizes its utility-focused approach while the checkered midsole combines black and brown with embossed “AIR” detailing. Rounding out the sneaker, the durable outsole sees its black finish accented by an encased rust pink.As of now, Nike hasn’t confirmed any release details surrounding the launch of the Air Force 1 Wild and this black and brown colorway. Look for it to land on shelves in the coming weeks via Nike and select retailers after the brand officially reveals the sneaker.Stay tuned for updates and for more of the latest news from the footwear industry, during a workout with his son Bryce, LeBron James showed off what’s believed to be a first look at the Nike LeBron 21.
