The Nike Air Alpha Force 88 Returns in Black and White

Leading off the year for Nike, rumors surrounding the return of the Air Alpha Force 88 surfaced. The shoe, worn by Michael Jordan after releasing the Air Jordan 2 and waiting for the Air Jordan 3, never fully took off. However, Nike’s looking to give it another shot this year with a range of retro-inspired colorways, revisiting the shoe’s original look.Joining the recently-released “University Red,” this black and white pair similarly draws from the past with its arrangement. To begin, a white leather base has been prepared with “Neutral Grey” hits at the Swooshes, collar and eyestays. From there, black coats the midfoot’s strap, various linework, embroidered heel branding and the lining. Rounding things out, the structured sole unit blends the three hues. With the Nike Air Alpha Force 88 returning to shelves last Saturday, this black and white pair is likely to follow its lead in the coming weeks. However, Nike has not yet shared any details regarding its release. Look for it to arrive at a price of $140 USD via the Swoosh and select retailers worldwide. For more of the latest updates from the always-busy world of footwear, Ja Morant’s Nike Ja 1 is celebrating spooky season this year with a “Halloween” colorway carrying special Swooshes.

adidas’ significance on and off the basketball court is never to be overlooked, having outfitted players of all ages en-route to success. adidas has released countless models that became instant classics, seeing one of its oldest pairs return to the hardwood. The adidas Conductor High was first introduced in 1987, iconically worn by Jamaican-American player Patrick Ewing. Ewing became synonymous with the model throughout his 15 seasons with the New York Knicks, quickly moving into music culture and being celebrated for its on-stage adaptability. adidas has reintroduced the Conductor High throughout 2023, now arriving in classic red, white, and blue hues. The high-top silhouette is crafted from premium white leather, adorning the uppers contrasted by rough suede Three Stripes logos. Embossed “Grey One” collars receive padded inserts for increased comfort, completing the design with ribbed heel cutouts, basketball-inspired tongue tags, and rubber cupsoles. Metallic “ADIDAS ORIGINALS NYC” pendants hang from the upper eyelets, outlining its gold status worldwide. Take a closer look at the new adidas Conductor High colorway in the gallery above.
