Official Images of the Stone Island x New Balance Tokyo Design Studio FuelCell C_1

UPDATE: Following various teasers, New Balance Tokyo Design Studio and Stone Island have officially presented their collaborative take on the FuelCell C_1, featuring two unique colorways. The close-up shots provide a detailed breakdown of what to expect from the pair, including a graphic pattern informed by an archival Stone Island camouflage from 1990. Release for the project begins on July 25 via Stone Island and will be followed by a New Balance release on July 28. Beyond this, look for it to hit select retailers such as HBX between drops.UPDATE: Detailed images of the forthcoming Stone Island x New Balance FuelCell C_1 collaboration have surfaced. The kicks are fashioned with an earthy beige and light gray upper, the latter hue of which is flexed through a digitalized camo pattern that is broken up across toe boxes and side walls. The kicks are equipped with a quick lace toggle system and feature a motion New Balance logo that’s embroidered into the forefoot and toe boxes. Additionally, the heel molds are styled with raised Stone Island logos that cut off halfway before meeting the semi-chunky, FuelCell-loaded bottoms. At the time of this update, no official release date has been announced yet.ORIGINAL ARTICLE:Collaborations continue to be a major focus for the New Balance lifestyle team as it has a bevy of them lined up for the latter half of 2023. In the coming months, we can expect the sportswear label to roll out projects with artist Aminé, thisisneverthat and others, and now it will be tallying up another project with Stone Island to further expand on its long-term partnership. This project will serve as the follow-up to the duo’s 574 Legacy initiative that debuted earlier this year.Few details have been announced about this collaboration, but based on the promotional posters, it looks like we could be receiving two colorways of the New Balance FuelCell C_1. The Italian luxury men’s apparel and accessories imprint previewed the kicks covered in two camouflage-patterned veils. The first is styled with a blend of olive, orange, purple and gray graphics while the latter is fitted with a mustard yellow and gray combination.Peep a first look at the collaboration in the gallery above and be on the lookout for official launch information to turn up in the coming weeks. In case you missed it, Rich Paul and New Balance have officially announced their “Forever Yours” footwear and apparel collection.
