beautiful people x Mizuno Readies Third Sneaker Collaboration

Mizuno and beautiful people have reunited for a third sneaker collaboration. This time around, the two brands have unveiled a tonal pair dressed in a sand beige hue.Synonymous with preceding collaborations, the latest model’s silhouette is based on the CHRONO INX 9 track and field shoe. In keeping with the “the ultimate in beauty lies in function” theme, Mizino’s signature INFINITY WAVE midsoles are implemented to conserve the functional nature of the sneakers.Despite being doused in the same hue all over, the kicks are incorporated with a mix of suede and leather overlays for added textural contrast, which in turn, prevents them from looking flat and washed out.Launching on July 29, the sneakers are priced at ¥ 39,600 JPY (approximately $289 USD) and are currently available for pre-order at beautiful people’s official website.Elsewhere in footwear, Nike delivers a monochromatic Air Max 1 in black and white.

adidas Prepares the YEEZY SLIDE in “Granite” and “Slate Grey”

Throughout the adidas YEEZY partnership, the duo of adidas and the YEEZY team is known for introducing unique silhouettes and colorways that later see revisions. With popular designs such as the YEEZY SLIDE, this results in some overlap in looks being offered and with the brand’s latest colorways, there’s very little that differentiates them.Arriving after the reveal of the “Slate Marine” look, dark grey colorways of “Granite” (pictured on top) and “Slate Grey” have appeared. Not quite as dark as their “Onyx” predecessor, each pair provides a slightly different hue of grey, making it difficult to distinguish from one another. The typical YEEZY SLIDE detailing such as the shark tooth outsole, Three Stripes branding at the footbed and single-piece construction makes a return for both looks, offering two versatile presentations of the design. With summertime raging on, adidas looks to be preparing the YEEZY SLIDE in “Granite,” “Slate Grey” and “Slate Marine” this August, to be joined by additional releases as well. Specific release dates have not been confirmed so stay tuned for updates as the month looks to be a major one for the YEEZY division. For more of the latest news from the always-busy footwear industry, adidas has prepared a “Nightstrike Pack” of all-black soccer cleats that include the X Crazyfast, COPA Pura and Predator Accuracy boots.

Travis Scott Flexes Closer Look at His Jordan Cut the Check Sneaker

Update: Utopia is just around the corner and with that, Travis Scott is utilizing his time in the spotlight to showcase not only new music, but new pieces as well. Leading up to his latest music video with Bad Bunny and The Weeknd, Scott was pictured with his upcoming signature shoe — the Jordan Cut the Check sneaker — on-foot. Now, with the video’s release, Scott has offered a better look at what to expect from the much-anticipated sneaker. As discussed below, the low-top sneaker sees a co-branded strap in white match its overlays while a black base and olive reverse Swooshes at the lateral add contrast. While difficult to make out clearly from most angles in the video, additional details seem to include medial olive Swooshes towards the heel and the Cactus Jack face logo at the heel. View this post on Instagram A post shared by flame (@travisscott)Update: Travis Scott stoked the (la) flames of the sneaker rumor mill in May when he wore a never-before-seen Jordan Brand silhouette to the premiere of The Idol at the Cannes Film Festival in May. While The Idol came and went with little more than a whimper, excitement around Scott’s sneakers remained high, and now, in July, we’ve finally gotten a little more info on them: namely that they’re called the “Cut the Check.”The “Cut the Check” will be Scott’s first fully original sneaker with Jordan Brand, and follows up more than half a dozen collabs with both the Jumpman and Nike, from Air Jordan 1s to SB Dunk Lows and Air Force 1s. It’s equipped with his signature backwards Swoosh, and seems to draw some elements from the Air Jordan 5 as well. In images shared by zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files, other colorways of the model revealed since Cannes appear to feature a forefoot strap and special outsole branding.Though an official date of arrival for the Travis Scott x Jordan Cut the Check has yet to be announced, it’ll reportedly drop later this year in a full family size run before arriving in more colorways in the early days of 2024. Stay tuned for more info as it’s made available.TRAVIS SCOTT’S NEW JORDAN “CUT THE CHECK” shoe is expected to debut later this year…✂️✔️? @trvisXX?: @zSneakerHeadz @sneakerfiles pic.twitter.com/3d7eyZx42x— zSneakerHeadz (@zSneakerHeadz) July 13, 2023Original Story: Gearing up for the release of his fourth studio album, UTOPIA, Travis Scott is also now believed to be taking his partnership with Jordan Brand to a new height. Showing up on the red carpet for Festival de Cannes, La Flame was spotted in what is now believed to be his first Jordan Brand signature shoe.Already catching attention for his suit set up accented by zip-up hoodie layering, the rapper was photographed in an unidentified pair of sneakers with reverse Swoosh branding. The potential debut Nike/Jordan Brand signature shoe builds on the tones of Scott’s previous collaborative releases expressing a mix of black and dark brown in suede. The shoe is also accompanied by Jumpman motifs at the tongue and thick black waxed laces. Finishing up the design are black midsoles paired with off white rubber outsoles.Take a look at Travis Scott in what is believed to be his first Jordan Brand signature shoe above. For more footwear news, take a first look at Travis Scott’s UTOPIA Air Jordan 1 Low “Olive.”
