Official Images of the Nike Ja 1 “Ember Glow”

Update: Last week, the NBA shared that Ja Morant will be suspended for 25 games next season. However, Nike is standing by Morant as he continues to take time to get the help he needs. As a result, it’s business as usual for the Swoosh and Morant as they continue to release the Ja 1 in new colorways. Officially revealing the “Ember Glow” look, it is scheduled to release on July 3 at a price of $110 USD via Nike and select retailers. For more details, dive into our previous coverage below.Original Story: Ja Morant’s impressive handles, high-flying dunks and supreme athleticism were enough to persuade Nike to invest in him a make him the newest signature member of its hoops family. He debuted his Nike Ja 1 on Christmas Day last year, and has since been gradually unveiling it in a slew of new colorways. And ahead of the Grizzlies first-round playoff matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers, the kicks have now surfaced in a brand new red, blue and white colorway.Mesh uppers and suede overlays of this court-ready offering come blasted with a bold red hue and complemented with bright blue Swooshes and tongue branding. Extra accents pop out through the interior liners and lateral heel branding. Additionally, the embroidered “12” hits on the rear — which nods to the point guard’s jersey number — split between blue stitches on the left and purple threads on the right similar to how the tongue banners arrive in mismatched fashion with Morant’s signature logo. New Balance Presents Pack of Summer-Ready 997 Silhouettes

New Balance has just presented a fresh collection of its 997 silhouette, with the shoe emerging in a melange of summer-friendly colorways. This new version of New Balance’s 997 comes as a revitalized edition to the original sneaker that first dropped in 1991. And while the overall aesthetic of this new version may seem similar to the OG, New Balance has created this new iteration as a sleeker and less expensive interpretation. It’s been designed with a mesh and suede upper, reminiscent of NB’s classic performance running sneakers of the past. Additionally, the shoe is also available in a selection of colors; such as off-white, yellow, and green, as well as a special version that combines the lot. What’s more, is that the new sneaker’s sole unit abandons the top-of-the-line cushioning, and instead, integrates an “aged” approach into the design. Rounding things off, customary New Balance branding can be spotted on the lateral sides, heel counter, and tongues of the shoe. You can take a closer look at the new release from New Balance above and it will be available to shop via the brand’s official website and with select retailers in the coming weeks. In other footwear news, take a look at this new Nike Air Max 1.
