Nike Air Max 1 Surfaces in a Multi “Tan Lines” Colorway

Tinker Hatfield’s classic Nike Air Max 1 silhouette is returning in a big way this summer as Nike continues to dream up new creative color codes. The latest to surface is a “Tan Lines” colorway which combines white mesh with multicolored suede overlays. Originally released in 1987, the AM1 was the first shoe ever to employ Max Air technology, forever revolutionizing the footwear industry.Tan hues are used for the wraparound mudguard to match the pre-yellowed midsoles while brighter shades of pink, blue, burnt orange, and green decorate the rest of the silhouette. Stylized Nike logos are debossed on the tongue tab and heel counter, and rounding out the design are visible Nike Air windows and black rubber outsoles.Take a first look at the Nike Air Max 1 above and look for the pairs to release exclusively in women’s sizing in the coming weeks.Elsewhere in footwear, first look at the Levi’s x Crocs All-Terrain Clog in “Sashiko Denim.”Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
