Serving as a follow-up to the celebrated yin-yang-inspired “Black/White” Nike “CLOTEZ,” CLOT is now gearing up the release of a sequel “Yellow/Black” colorway. This time around the kung fu shoe-inspired silhouette with a 3-in-1 design is crafted to honor Bruce Lee.Celebrating one of the greatest and most influential martial artists of all time, the two-tone color scheme draws from the iconic jumpsuit worn by Bruce Lee in 1979’s Game of Death.The CLOT x Nike “CLOTEZ” “Yellow/Black” serves as the second colorway of the joint creation of CLOT founder and creative director Edison Chen and aspiring designer Harry Wong.The reflection of the dynamic spirit of the cultural icon starts with an indoor house shoe based on the design of the Cortez. The shoe features premium yellow leather uppers, contrasting black Swooshes, matching laces, and nylon tongues. Additional detailing comes in the form of tongue tags, and Chinese characters “潮” and “幫” embroidered at the heels, a special reference to CLOT’s Trendy Gang NFT.The accompanying slip-on that resembles traditional kung fu apparel comes in black with yellow Swooshes. The design is finished by drawstring fastenings with the yin-yang symbol, detachable insoles, and serrated outsoles. ACES is celebrating Penny Hardaway’s head coaching career at the University of Memphis. Ahead of his final home game of the season, the brand has collaborated on a 1-of-1 Nike Air Max Penny 1 to commemorate the occasion. Currently, the team is ranked third best in the American Athletic Conference with Hardaway leading the Tigers to five straight 20-win seasons and an NIT Championship upon returning the NCAA Tournament for the first time in eight years. The exclusive pair of Nike Air Max Penny 1s arrive in a neutral color scheme. The 1-of-1 design sees the shoe constructed with tumbled, buttery and hair suede leather and features the model’s signature jewel Swooshes. A “Hustle & Heart” text graphic highlights the Swoosh in monochrome, while the “GOD GOT ME” in the dollar bill font is seen on the tongue with the ACES logo. “LEGACY” and “ACES” is printed on the heels as well as the graphic on the heel’s cushioning unit. Since this is a 1-of-1 shoe, there has not been a release date set for the model. However, it is uncertain if Nike will release them down the line. The team over at adidas Originals seems to have found a collaborative recipe for success. After lending its classic Stan Smith silhouette to franchises such as The Simpsons, adidas continues its partnership with Sanrio by revealing a new Hello Kitty and Friends-themed Stan Smith colorway.Previously, the bow-bearing character landed on the Superstar, Forum Low and Astir with cute compositions focused on her. Now, with the Stan Smith, she’s joined by her friends as they scatter across the colorful lining and sockliner. The otherwise triple white look also features thematic details such as “HELLO KITTY AND FRIENDS” text at the lateral in place of the typical Stan Smith reference. In addition, a special Hello Kitty pouch has been prepared, resting atop the lacing system while a furry heel tab completes the look with soft pink branding.As of now, the Hello Kitty and Friends x adidas Stan Smith has only popped up via adidas Malaysia where it is priced at RM489 MYR (approx. $109 USD) and scheduled to launch March 31.
