Nike has presented its latest Air Max 97 iteration and this time the sneaker has been coated in an “Oxidized” colorway.As one of the Swooshes’ most popular silhouettes, the 97 has been blessed with a slew of general release colorways. Some stand-outs from recent times come in the form of the reissued “Silver Bullet” for a cleaner example, while more experimental additions — such as the “Kiss My Air” version — have ticked the box for those looking for something slightly different.With this in mind, Nike’s new “Oxidized” version of the 97 falls under the brand’s more experimental umbrella. The “Oxidized” tones and detailing hit the mudguards, while the rest of the construction is taken over by mesh and leather throughout the upper. Additionally, the shoe also features a “Teal” mesh base on the upper with “Copper/Brown” leather overlays.The stand-out feature of the shoe, however, is the “Copper” 3M reflective detailing. Following a teaser shared by Brand Director Victor Kan, New York-based retailer Packer has officially revealed its forthcoming collaboration with Clarks Originals. The British footwear manufacturer recently united with designer Salehe Bembury prior to its team-up with Compound at Miami Art Week, now tapping Packer for a luxurious take on its mid-cut Wallabee boot. The boutique douses the silhouette in faux crocodile skin offered in “Pink” and “Maple” hues. The erotic leather finish dons a textured pattern that mirrors the reptile’s natural coating. Waxed cotton and rope laces accompany every pair with golden aglets and deluxe energy, while co-branded hang tags receive rough-cut edges. Further branding is found on the insoles, stacked on standard Clarks rubber soles that feature a glazed design.
