Nike ACG Watercat+ Appears With a Clean Black and Orange Palette

Nike and its ACG models are typically designed for folks that enjoy exploring the great outdoors. Trail runners and lifestyle silhouettes are the sub-label’s bread and butter, but in 2006, it dabbled into the aquatic fashion scene and introduced a water-ready offering titled the Nike ACG Watercat+. The silhouette is returning to the market with a modernized build and aesthetic, and one of the iterations that is expected to launch is this striking black and orange colorway that’s pictured in the gallery above. The top half of the kicks is anchored by intricately-woven cords that take on a two-toned color scheme and start at the toe tips and run the length of the base. Bereft of any layers underneath, the kicks are super breathable and are primed to be comfortable in hot weather conditions on the street or submerged underwater. A toggled lace system arrives on the throat so wearers can have easy access in and out of the kicks, and the heels are backed by a rubber heel counter. Offsetting its palette is an angelic midsole that is adorned with stealthy ACG branding towards the lateral rear as well as a two-toned outsole that splits between black and baby blue hues.Nike and other retailers are expected to roll these out in the coming months for $125 a pop.Elsewhere in sneakers, the Nike Ja 1 “Midnight” with Swarovski crystals has been unveiled.

Swarovski Crystals Shimmer On the Nike Ja 1 “Midnight”

It’s been another breakout year for Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies as they continue their ascent in the NBA’s Western Conference. However, that’s not the only place Morant has been flying high. Announced on Christmas Day of last year, Morant has his own performance sneaker coming out with Nike — the Ja 1. Following this news, the Nike Basketball team and Morant connected with us to discuss the process of bringing his dreams to reality in the shoe’s creation. Now, another striking look has been shared courtesy of the Swoosh, this time with Swarovski crystals lighting it up.Dubbed the “Midnight” colorway — tying into the overarching theme of this first chapter for Morant and Nike — a clean all-black upper features dazzling detailing courtesy of Swarovski. The Swooshes showcase crystals within a black outline, wrapping around the shoe elegantly. In case that’s not enough, crystals also hit a special “12AM” dubrae and Nike Ja hangtag as the cherry on top. Supporting the eye-catching presentation, an icy blue translucent outsole carries “IT’S 12AM SOMEWHERE” text in Morant’s handwriting.Stay tuned for official release information as a spring launch of the silhouette is expected to take place. For more in the exciting world of footwear, Nike has shared official image breakdowns of all six of the kid-designed sneakers from the Doernbecher Freestyle XVIII collection.

Our Legacy Decks Out Its Gabe Sneaker In Chrome

After preparing a new collaborative capsule with Stüssy and announcing a new range of crochet bags, Our Legacy is making its way back into the fashion headlines and turning our attention back to its sneaker line. Coming back to center stage is the brand’s hiking-inspired Gabe silhouette which has just been released in a brand new “Chrome Peak” colorway.Serving as one of the silhouette’s first colorways of 2023, the utilitarian kicks deck out their lateral walls with a metallic silver exterior and balance out its asymmetrical upper half with supple suede toe boxes and medial panels that are dyed in a muted charcoal gray. More chrome-y panels arrive across medial heels in the form of smaller-sized overlays. Our Legacy rivets are situated on the tongues while the heel pull tabs protrude vertically and arrive hollowed out with oval openings. Supporting the base down below is an intricately-cut VIBRAM sole unit. Save for its traditional yellow branding that arrives on the lateral heel, the entire piece is coated in a light beige hue.Take a closer look at Our Legacy’s newest Gabe installment in the gallery above, and shop the release via the brand’s website for €420 EUR (approximately $451 USD).In case you missed it, check out Our Legacy’s FW23 collection.
